The Summer School of Slavonic Languages (SSSL) at the Philosophical Faculty of Palacký University in Olomouc organizes courses of Czech language for foreigners and also other courses in Slavonic philology, Russian language or Polish language in particular, for students from other countries. The Summer School is designed for professors, senior lecturers, lectors and students of Czech language and literature or Slavonic studies, translators, journalists and people from general public interested in Czech language, literature, history, and culture. The programme comprises also courses for beginners. There are five lessons in the morning and optional lectures in the afternoon during the Summer School. A course of Russian language or Polish language is arranged for the people interested, but only in case there is at least 5 of them. The lessons are complemented with cultural events – film club, theatre workshop, two one-day trips and a two-day trip to Prague , etc.

After finishing the intensive language course each student of SSSL will receive a certificate with achieved language level (based on the tests results). Students, who fail the final exam or who will not finish the course from various reasons, will receive certification of attendance at the SSSL course.
